You probably already know that I am a fan of probiotics. You may have read my post on our battle with the flu last winter and the unintended consequences of a course of antibiotics, here. After that fun experience, I started reading up on the benefits of probiotics and trying to figure out how to get them into my son's diet. They are somewhat of an acquired taste.
So, I was happy to be asked to review Probugs Organic Whole Milk Kefir. Here's a description, from the website.
Organic Whole Milk Kefir with fun characters and flavors even the pickiest eaters will like. Not only is it high in protein and calcium, it has added inulin for optimum calcium absorption. Plus it has 10 live and active cultures (friendly bacteria) to help their little bellies and immune system stay healthy.
Since my son is not a liquid yogurt fan, when we received the samples, we froze them as we do all liquid yogurt pops and they were an immediate hit. The slightly tart taste of yogurt makes me a fan of them too. And, yes, frozen they're a little unwieldy, but if your child likes yogurt drinks, you'll like the easy to drink from spout.
More importantly, this yogurt drink provides many more health benefits than standard kids yogurt drinks ( and probably a lot less sugar)!
