I was abnormally excited to be asked to review a few products from Hanes Kids. You know… the underwear people?
There’s something about new underwear that gives just about everyone a little thrill, even 6-year-old boys. My son was pretty excited about the package that arrived though, not being exposed to boxers before he wasn’t quite buying into the fact that they were something to be worn under clothes. He’s been happily parading around the house in them and wearing them in lieu of pajamas.
In our box we received white briefs, plaid boxers and white athletic socks. Since I tend to buy underwear for him at Target, focusing on anything brightly colored and without a commercial character…this was a real treat – WHITE underwear and boxers and really white socks…that is the kind that have not been worn outside constantly and washed without bleach!
Now that I’ve been informed about the important features- no-ride up briefs and money back guarantee, I’m even more comfortable (Get, it? Get it?) with this little assortment. Here’s the scoop – if , for any reason you are not happy with your Hanes underwear, you can return it. Yes, even if it’s been worn…great deal if you ask me. Simply check out the instructions here.
The Parent Blogger Network, the folks that set me up for this review, are having a blog blast on August 22nd and a contest where you too can win some Hanes Undies for your kids!
Now, here’s the real question. Did receiving this sample influence my purchase behavior? Will I buy them for my son? More importantly, as a “thought leader”, that is someone who purportedly can influence others to buy, will I recommend them? Anyone reading my product review guidelines knows that I reserve the right to NOT recommend a product AND refuse to review products on my blog unless I have a sample.
So, what do I think? I’m actually quite happy to recommend these products. No, they’re not organic cotton, but I don’t only buy organic materials…I’m not rich? Are you? But, they are comfy and well made. I think that’s important. You know why? Because part of being eco is buying less and the best way to buy less is to buy well made.
