OK this review is long over due mostly because we have been having a love-hate affair with the Senseo coffee maker I was sent to review. Well, actually it is my husband who has been having the relationship. I've been the long suffering wife.
The Senseo Coffee Pod system is one of those one cup coffee maker. My sister has had one for awhile and I've been thrilled with hers as it fits my needs perfectly.
I drink one cup of coffee per day.
Usually I end up wasting coffee when I make a pot so, this product would be fine, no wonderful, if I lived alone. I don't. I live with a multi-cup per day person who fell madly in love with the idea of having a freshly brewed cup of coffee each time!
The Senseo Coffee Pod System was a dream come true for my husband.Until we ran out of the pods they sent us by the end of the week.
Then
He realized that the pod system was terrifically more expensive than buying coffee by the huge can. ( I admit it, I am not a coffee gourmet- any old coffee will do. My husband would perhaps be one were he not so
And so went the affair with the Senseo. He loves her. She annoys him. He adores how she makes him feel. He can't believe how expensive she is.
He searches on E-bay for cheaper pods. He clips coupons. He tries to stretch the pods to make two cups.
He gives up and succumbs to her love.
So, now I get my one cup every morning and smugly feel I am being thrifty by not wasting coffee. He gets his multiple cups and sighs resignedly about the cost.
The old coffee machine sits around getting dusty from disuse.
